PURPOSE:The purpose of the Filipino Folk Dance Club for elementary studnets is to preserve traditional Filipino dances and pass them on to younger generations. The club helps educate members and the community about the history, meaning, and cultural background of Filipino folk dances while bringing together students who share an interest in Filipino culture. Through practices and performances at school events, cultural festivals, and community programs, students showcase Filipino heritage and promote cultural appreciation and pride.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:Club members participate in regular practices and rehearsals to learn and improve traditional Filipino folk dances. During these sessions, students work on dance techniques, timing, and coordination while preparing for performances. The club also performs at school events, cultural programs, and community celebrations to share and promote Filipino culture.

PURPOSE: The purpose of a Colombian Cumbia Club for elementary students is to introduce students to Colombian culture through music and dance in a fun and engaging way. The club helps students learn basic Cumbia dance steps while building confidence, coordination, and teamwork. It also promotes cultural awareness and appreciation by teaching students about Colombian traditions, music, and heritage. Through practices and performances, students have the opportunity to express themselves and share this cultural dance with their school community. 💃🌎
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES: Students who join the Colombian Cumbia Club will participate in regular practices where they learn and rehearse the basic steps and rhythms of Cumbia, a traditional Colombian dance. Members will explore the music, cultural traditions, and history behind the dance while developing coordination, teamwork, and confidence. The club will also prepare performances for school events, cultural celebrations, and community programs, giving students the opportunity to share Colombian culture and dance with others in a fun and engaging way.
